'Sea Pattern' draws inspiration from the natural landscape of the sea and of what lies beneath its surface; the patterns created by the tide in the sand and the ever changing movement of the sea’s daily rhythm.
I wanted to create an 2D artwork which was calming and that would situate well within an hospital environment. Living in today’s society can be stressful and we all need moments to reflect.
When a person is viewing the work within the New Ulster Hospital I want them to be able to reflect for a moment, to escape from their present situation and to think of the beauty of the sea’s landscape.
