Throughout October and November 2016, Raphael was in residence at Sycamore House, Millbeck House and The Oaks care homes and Radford Care Group.

There he worked with elderly residents and visitors to design a series of geometrically-patterned discs of that feature in the installation Working collaboratively with care home residents, artist Graham Elstone has produced a series of sound recordings featuring the project’s participants speaking about the themes ideas and emotions evoked by certain colours

These form part of the installation, triggered by gently placing your hand over sensors attached to the City Arts window. Participants enjoyed exploring the theme of colour with Raphael and were interested in the work that he has produced

He brought a light box to sessions, allowing people to immerse themselves in colour and experience it effects the activity stimulated lots of conversation: favourite colours, memories and how colour makes you feel
